Freshmen:
Turn in OMAM essays with scoring guide attached, turn in essay rough draft, outline, etc. to work folder for grading on Wed., turn in any remaining OMAM books...
then, SSR. Then, we began reading the first chapter of Lord of the Flies together.
HW: Read chapters 1-3 in LOTF, and complete reading notes or island journal for each chapter.
AP Lit:
Brave New World vocab. words #11 to 20 for period 5. Then, we discussed some BNW issues from chapters 7-12. (Joel's conclusion: John is Jesus. Taylor's favorite quote: "Nemo me impune lacessit." )
HW: Finish Brave New World.
Shakespeare:
After the ummm... interesting stories of the weekend, we created a character chart on the whiteboard. Then, after the invigorating fire drill, we read the rest of Act 3 and began Act 4 of The Taming of the Shrew.
