So, I was at a meeting all day on Tuesday and home with a sick little guy on Wednesday. Here's a quick recap of what you should have done with the subs in case you missed something.
Freshmen:
Tues: Read 1.3 and 1.4 of R& J, and received a personification handout as homework.
Wed: Discussed the personification assignment and read (or began?) 1.5 in R&J.
You will have a Vocabulary Quiz on Thursday. Be ready for that.
AP Lit:
Tues: Read Trifles together. (It's in the Norton Anthology.) Homework was to read A Jury of Her Peers, a short story adaptation of the play by the author herself. (This was a handout the sub gave you.)
Wed: Timed essay comparing the effectiveness of Trifles vs. Jury. If you missed this, you'll need to arrange to come in and make it up.
Vocab quiz will be on Thursday. Remember that there will be some words from 1st semester, in addition to the new 5 from this week.
