Period 1: Freshmen
SSR. Finish last bit of OMAM movie. Then, reading of "To a Mouse" by Robert Burns. This is the poem from which John Steinbeck derived the novel's title. It's full of cool Scottish words.
HW: Write a paragraph explaining the connection of the poem to the book.
Period 5: AP Lit.
Questions, thoughts, comments, etc. about the first half of Candide. Massive paper handout and a few minutes of work time. HW: Finish the book and be ready to discuss on Wed.
Period 7: Shakespeare
Show Mrs. Peterson any completed rough drafts and have them checked off. Then, choose one of your three rough drafts to rework into final draft. Class time to edit, add quotes, etc.
